I live in South West Shropshire, in the Welsh Marches. I feel incredibly lucky to be able to walk out of my house and enjoy such unspoilt hill country, shaped by the family farms that still populate the landscape, and what a wonderful place for my family to grow up.
The British weather, so often the subject of conversation, is ideal for the photographer, its variability constantly changes the light and shade of the countryside, every day allowing for a different image of familiar locations.
I was a teacher for forty years, mostly at The Community College, Bishop's Castle, formerly the High School. In my leisure time I have the good fortune to dance with The Border Morris side, The Shropshire Bedlams.
Family and the landscape, college life and morris are themes which dominate my photography, as the galleries here included here demonstrate.
